ALFS Charity Golf

As part of the Asia-Pacific Ladies' Friendship Society (ALFS) fund-raising activities, it will be organising a Charity Golf Tournament in March 08. As in previous years, proceeds from this and other charity events will be distributed to member countries to support education and job training for children and women. This year's 6th Charity Golf Tournament is supported by Her Imperial Highness Princess Hitachi.

The Singapore Embassy will be supporting the event by sponsoring a flight of Singaporean players.

ILBS Cherry Blossom Charity Ball

The Cherry Blossom Charity Ball (CCCB) is an annual prestigious charity event held in in Tokyo in April and is organised by the International Ladies Benevolent Society (ILBS). The ball is attended by members of the diplomatic corps and leaders of the business and corporate community. The proceeds go towards aiding and assisting over 20 welfare institutions and organisations in Japan and overseas. Their Imperial Highnesses Prince Tomohito of Mikasa and Princess Yoko are the guests of honour for this year's ball.

As in previous years, the Singapore Embassy will be supporting the event by contributing some beverages as well as purchasing tickets to the ball.
