Application For a Visa to Enter Singapore Note: A new electronic visa application system has been implemented that will reduce the processing time. Hence, with effect from 1 April 2006, the Singapore Embassy no longer accepts individual walk-in applications. Applications must be submitted to any of the agencies at Annex A. Visa Application Forms All visa applicants are required to complete the attached visa application form in full i.e. all columns and blank spaces completed. The visa application forms are available free of charge at: (a)   Singapore Embassy (40, Babel Street, Dokki, Cairo opposite the Shooting Club main entrance) from 8.00 am to 3.30 pm during working days from Sundays to Thursdays.  (b)  Agencies at Annex A. The visa application form can also be downloaded from the website: www.ica.gov.sg.http://www.ica.gov.sg Submission of documents You can apply for your visa through any one of the agencies. Please contact them for visa application hours.  If you are residing outside Cairo, you can arrange for pre-paid courier service for the application and collection of visa without visiting the agency personally. Visa applications will be accepted only when all the following documents are in order: (a)  Fully completed visa application form; (b) 1 recent coloured passport size photograph adhered to the form; (c)  Photocopy (in A4 size - 1 copy) of your passport pages 2 to 6 and any valid visas to other countries; (d) Photocopy (in A4 size - 1 copy) of your air-tickets and/or confirmed itinerary (state the number of times you wish to enter Singapore i.e. whether you are applying for single-journey, double-journey, triple-journey [for cruises only] or multiple-journey under Period of Visa/Visa applied for at Part II of Page 2 of Visa Application Form); (e)  Letter of Introduction (LOI) in (Word Doc | PDF format) from a local contact or company in Singapore (sample of LOI is attached).  LOI from non-residents will not be accepted.  Official Note (with English translation) from government ministries will also be accepted. The application will NOT be processed without a LOI or an Official Note from a Government Ministry; (f)   All documents in Arabic, including official notes, should be translated into English language, otherwise it will result in a delay in processing; and (g)  A local telephone number for contact when visa is approved.   Visa Fees The visa processing fee for each application is EGP113.00 (cash only). No personal cheques are accepted.  Visa processing fees are paid upon application of visas.  A receipt will be given when the visa processing fee is collected.  No refund will be given whether the application is accepted or not. Gratis visas with no receipts will be given for Diplomatic, Special and Service passports on official travel.   All monies should be handed over to the agency. Separately, the agency would charge an administrative fee for processing the visa application. Processing Time The normal processing time is 1 week. The normal processing time will apply for all late applications for non- emergency travel purpose e.g. tourism, business meetings, conferences, etc. Visa applications for urgent visits such as for medical reasons can be considered.  Please provide in writing the reason for your visa to be expedited.   The processing of the visa will commence on the date when ALL documents are received in order and not when the incomplete application is first received.
