His Excellency Sheikh Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs and Minister of State for Development Affairs and Housing Affairs of the State of Kuwait, called on Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong on 4 July 2009 at the Istana.

SM Goh and HE Sheikh Ahmad Fahad exchanged views on bilateral cooperation and Kuwait's strategic five-year development plan. The two leaders agreed that both sides should explore investment opportunities in Singapore and Kuwait, and that there were opportunities for Singapore to share its developmental experience and expertise with Kuwait.

HE Sheikh Ahmad Fahad is visiting Singapore tochair the 28th Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly in his capacity as President of the OCA.
