State Visit by President S R Nathan to the Republic of Turkey, 8 to 14 June 2009

President S R Nathan met with His Excellency Köksal Toptan, Speaker of Turkey's Grand National Assembly, in Ankara on 11 June 2009. President Nathan is currently on a State Visit to the Republic of Turkey from 8 to 14 June 2009. This is the first State Visit by a Singapore President to Turkey.

President Nathan is accompanied during the State Visit by Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Finance and Second Minister for Transport Lim Hwee Hua, Senior Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Balaji Sadasivan, Senior Minister of State for Education and Trade & Industry S Iswaran, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Health Hawazi Daipi, Members of Parliament Penny Low and Christopher de Souza, and senior officials. A business delegation is also accompanying President Nathan on the State Visit to Turkey.
